OK, so you are coming to Romania! Here @ Crazy Duck Hostel we are really proud about our country and wish to give you the best information in order to have an unforgettable holiday.

Bucharest is our capital so most of the tourists first come here. It is a good point to start your Romanian journey as you can easy fly to Otopeni International Airport or come by rail to Gara de Nord.

There is much to say about this town! Accommodation in Bucharest can be cheap or expensive. You can find hostels from as low as 7-8 EUR/bed/night up to hotels at 150-200 EUR/room/night. Bucharest is a good place for backpackers. Most of the Bucharest hostels are inside downtown so you can easily walk almost everywhere. Bucharest is a nice town to visit – huge buildings as Parliament House, beautiful historic buildings as Romanian Atheneum, great parks like Cismigiu or Herastrau Garden, the charming Old Town, and list can go on. If you are looking for the party of your life, take care – in Bucharest downtown the party last till morning time, there are hundreds of clubs, bars, pubs and restaurants waiting for you.

After a few days in Bucharest it is a good idea to visit the gate to Transylvania – historical cities as Brasov, Sighisoara and Sibiu with a lot of charm, beautiful old houses and fine gastronomy. For this route is a good idea to take the train – it is not expensive and you can count on the schedule. Find routes between Romanian cities at www.mersultrenurilor.ro

For adrenaline lovers we highly recommend Transfagarasan route. You will really feel a professional driver on this road. Guys from Top Gear can tell you about this. Just rent a car and do it !

During summer time don’t miss the hot spots on Romanian Black Sea Coast – Mamaia if you are looking after fancy people and nice clubs and Vama Veche if you have a teenager heart and want to dance all night long on the sand.

Winter time comes with the nice resorts in Poiana Brasov, Predeal or Sinaia. If you like to ski this is the right place to be!

So, we are waiting for you in Romania! And don’t forget – during your stay in Bucharest book your accommodation in Crazy Duck Hostel.
